Reach 100% rinse-off products with lower impact on water (compared to 2020) measured by the IARA methodology
Results
74% rinse-off products with reduced environmental impact on water
Efficiency
At least 25% reduction in the volume (m3) of water consumed per ton of final product compared to 2022 (water intensity)
Results
10% increase in the volume of water consumed*
*Increased relative water consumption recorded in 2023 due to change in the operational work regime and increased production
Efficiency
Use of at least 90% of the reclaimed water generated in our manufacturing operations by 2030
Results
Use of 8% of reclaimed water
Conservation
Promotion of nature conservation initiatives that reduce water risk in 6 critical sources for Brazil or where our operations are located, benefiting approximately 25 million people
Results
Goal set in 2023 to start being measured in 2024
In the last year, we had a series of initiatives to increase water efficiency and care for watersheds, keeping a specialized team for the management, operation, and maintenance of 36 systems (water, wastewater, steam, boilers, towers) and 183 sub-systems.
The expansion of the Reclaimed Water Treatment Plant (RWTP) at the São José dos Pinhais factory, for instance, will contribute to improving reclaimed water quality and increasing its use.
In addition, we rely on the use of the I.A.R.A® (Environmental Risk Assessment Index) tool to calculate the aquatic environmental impact and biodegradability of Boticário Group's formulations.
Investment of approximately R$ 10 million in the expansion of the Reclaimed Water Treatment Plant (RWTP) at the São José dos Pinhais factory
And our collective and collaborative journey is just beginning
